In order to fix a sewing machine you have to identify the exact problem you have. Of course, this is easier said than done since the number of possible problems is large. 1. check the needle - One of the most common things which go wrong with sewing machine is that the needle wasn't inserted correctly. Each needle should have some sort of groove in it. You need to make sure the needle fits in the slot perfectly. Don't think this can't happen to you. It's a common mistakes and it happens to all of us sooner or later.
2. check The bobbin - The bobbin is a tricky piece of the machine. One thing which can often fix a sewing machine is rewinding the bobbin from scratch. Make sure not to wind the bobbin unevenly and don't use numerous threads of multiple sizes at the same time.
3. check the threading - Often it is easy to miss a certain step in the threading process. You need to make sure that you've threaded the machine properly, and again, this is something I'm sure you've done a million time. But this is a common mistake to make, so check it.
