SharePoint - document sharing on steroids? I think so!

I work with a team of very different: one that refers constantly separated by oceans, from time to time. No wonder we are going to e-mail for everything except for the exchange of documents that we have worked.

The hardest thing is to change the release of documents by e-mail you never know which version was the last to be more up-to-date. Not to mention the myriad of other problems that arise from time to time as we have on our e-mail.

So here was the solutionwe were on SharePoint. More specifically, WSS 3.0. This program is an application that allows you to documents and information in one place and allow your team to it remotely and securely. It 's been quite easy to install, as we have a guest who takes care was found for all things technical.

Once established, this is a great feature that we have to put up all those documents that we created to work and allows you to reference. And it goes far beyond just a place to storefiles: in fact it has a feature version. So every time a member of our team makes changes to the document, we can see exactly when the version was created and by whom. We also taught to continue to support a couple of versions of important files to be bounceinsave.com" title="save">saved. You know, just in case.

To make it even easier for our hosted SharePoint allowed for a document check-in check-out feature that made us make changes to documents, without overwriting any changes that might be another member of our teamDecision-making at the same time. It works great! Especially with Microsoft office 2007, all members on their existing mobile workstation.

The above reasons are just solved the most problems. SharePoint has so many features that we use now that the planning meetings, exchange of information and cooperation in our documents so much easier. I highly recommend for a team working remotely from each other.
